FAST-Xe
PCI-EXPRESS BOARDS
INTRODUCTION
The
Fast-Xe frame grabber series is for users who anticipate a demand for
extreme I/O requirements or higher bandwidth, complex image processing
and real-time fast storage in a cost effective platform. The base
Fast-X, is a one-half raw-length PCI board with four GigE ports and/or
three basic 85 MHz Camera Link Channels and more which provide input
for the newest cameras as well as a header for adaptation of other high
speed interfaces.
The front end data is formatted and preprocessed by a FPGA before being
sent to the memory subsection, processor, GigE interfaces or other
outputs. Finally, the Fast-Xe interfaces to the host computer through a
4x PCIe interface for state-of-the-art data acquisition. Options
include the addition of multiple(8) Serial ATA (SATA) 150 MB/sec
interfaces for continuous high-speed data storage without the usual OS
or PCI transfer delays.
FAST-Xe KEY SERIES FEATURES

the basic functional section of the FAST-Xe boards. These are:
- Raw PCI form factor
board with 1-2 GB dedicated high speed DDRAM for sustained real-time
on-board storage
- Collects data from
up to three (six optional) asynchronous basic Camera (channel) Link channels
